All Cellphones purchased from CaCell are brand new and are covered by our 1 Year Warranty unless otherwise stated.

One of the latest and best android phones available in the market is the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray. This amazing cellular phone has been powered by the Gingerbread version of Android OS and soon an upgrade to OS v4.0 shall also be available. Though this device looked pretty similar to the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc in the prelaunch phase, but now it looks as if it was always residing deep inside the Arc and has just been unleashed. There aren’t many cell phones in the market that have an amazing PPI of around 300; this one has 297 pixels per inch display and it is just a bit behind the iPhone which has 330.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray had been launched in August last year, and since then it has been selling like hot cakes. The phone is able to support both networks i.e. GSM and HSDPA, but 3G is of course just available on the 2nd one. These days’ people prefer to purchase devices with multiple functionalities and flexible OS which can run various apps, and this phone has it all. You can run various apps on the latest version of Android OS and use the phone in several countries that have different network types, for instance GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and two different types of HSDPA networks are supported by it. We shall now discuss some aspects of this phone in segments.

Body The Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray is a bit different from the common models in Xperia line; rather it looks a bit like the minis. This phone has astonishing looks, and it is also unique in its range due to the narrow built. You would find the phones back to be free from any curves, but that doesn’t hinder in putting the phone on a flat surface. You would find +- buttons on the right and a mini USB slot on the left side of the phone. On the top, you shall find the power button and a 3.5mm earphone jack. Under the back lid, you shall find a 1500mAh battery.

Telephony The primary function of a cell phone is to make and receive calls and the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray leaves many others behind in providing top quality voice transmission. The audio quality is very good, and there is no distortion even at low signal strength.

Display The display on this phone is powered with Bravia Reality, and it is one of the best LCD displays ever seen in a cell phone. The aspect ratio has been maintained at 16:9, while the resolution is four hundred and eighty by eight hundred and fifty four pixels, which makes it reach around 300 pixels per inch. Though the PPI measure is less in this phone as compared to iPhone, but the colors are way too better. The LCD has got a non-reflective coating which helps to improve the view in bright light quite like some Bravia TVs. There is just one home screen button on the front panel of the phone, while back and menu keys are embedded in the capacitive system.

User Interface The amazing graphical user interface of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray has made it really popular to the masses. You get to have the amazing Gingerbread OS on the best LCD powered by Sony’s Bravia technology. Different menus and side bars are easily visible and reachable; you can navigate through different portions of your phone without any problem.

Media Player The audio and video players on the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray are truly amazing; you can view HD videos on the high quality screen. You may find the 3.3inch screen to be small, but the amazing pixel density and bright colors due to Bravia power, fill all spaces. The audio playback on this phone is pretty good as compared to several other phones in the market.

Camera The Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray is powered with a 8mega pixel camera that allows you to take images up to 3264x2448pixels and videos of up to 720p. Most cameras that record good video are not able to record good sound, but this phone records audio at 130 kbps which is truly amazing. The quality of both images, and video is great and you shall love using this phone for recording memorable moments of your life.

Overall the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray is just amazing; its price is pretty less as compared to several other phones of its class. You can use this phone for carrying on various daily life activities such as calling, texting, imaging, browsing or even navigating by Google maps, and you shall never regret purchasing this product.
