OVERVIEW: The Samsung M8800, be it Bresson or Pixon, is the second 8 megapixel handset by Samsung, following the Symbian-powered Samsung i8510 INNOV8. The Samsung M8800 however is not a smartphone and has no keyboard but a 3.2-inch touchscreen display. The Samsung M8800 has the same TouchWiz interface as the Samsung Omnia and Samsung F480 Tocco, however this time they've added a Weather and Google widgets. The Samsung M8800, also dubbed the Pixon, is an 8 megapixel handset with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display and TouchWiz interface. Lacking a physical keyboard, the Pixon isn't a true smartphone, but does include a software-based landscape virtual QWERTY. The Pixon includes features such as GPS, FM radio, quad-band GSM and tri-band HSDPA support, microSD slot, and Bluetooth but no WiFi. The camera includes a number of advanced features such as auto focus, face recognition with smile detection and blink detection, wide dynamic range (WDR), advanced shake reduction (ASR), GPS geotagging, an ISO of 1600, and video recording at WVGA and VGA resolution at 30fps. True, it's not a smartphone, but the Samsung M8800 has an impressive specs sheet, which includes goodies such as:
